Our first visit to western Scotland & this beautiful cottage, recommended by a friend we've had a fantastic week, good weather except for one day! Pine martin visited one evening. Enjoyed the boat trip to see seals, lots of woodland walks and visited the castle. A perfect retreat for me and my family. Super food at Kwitail lodge, Plocton inn and Glenelg inn. Thank you.
“Great cottage in a lovely area with great views of snow capped mountains. Fantastic drive to Applecross over the tops. Lots to see but no seals, dolphins or telescope. Look forward to retuning soon.” - Malcolm, Dawn, Hayley, Scott and Stuart Hooton, Yorkshire

“This is our second visit and still plenty to see. Sadly no Pine Marten but did see an Otter in the loch to the east of the bridge and a golden eagle. Glass bottomed boat is great as is the turntable ferry.” - Alan and Ann Bell, Worthing, Sussex
“We had a lovely time with the nice view from this lovely cottage. Had a nice drive to John-O-Groats - worth driving and a visit to the distilleries along the way. Sure we will come back some day again.” - Pater Family, India and UK

“Have had a lovely week exploring the Highlands. Weather was changeable but lots of sunny spells. Lots of walking although not able to reach any of the munros as still snowy on the tops. Recommend the falls of Glonach and the drive out to Applecross, as well as taking a boat trip to see the Sea Eagles. Enjoyed some wonderful local seafood at the pub on Isle Ornsay and the Glenelg Inn is also well worth a visit. Can't wait to come again soon.” - Jo, Trevor, Jared and Emma, Bournemouth
“Climbed A Glas Bhernn with lots of snow and all the other peak we could see from the cottage. Really enjoyed our stay, and the sauna helped ease aches and pains. Haven't seen the Pine Marten but someone is eating the peanut butter. Hope to be back to tackle the Five Sisters etc. The boys enjoyed the stream and the marauding sheep and goats.” - Morrows, Arbroath
“We really enjoyed our stay here. We saw sheep on the drive in the morning and listening to the water in the night was nice too. We had no idea that behind us was a huge mountain! I think the views kept us entertained most and jumping in the stream to the left of the house. We woke up at 3 in the morning and saw the huge stream was almost bursting its banks. I am 11 and I really enjoyed my stay.” - Cairns Family, Aylesbury
“Arrived at 5am in pitch darkness with no idea what lay ahead in daylight - what a view! Had raid nearly every day but who cares! Warxwings visited and stripped all the trees of berries and saw two kestrels. Definitely be back.” - Bed Geddes, Colin and Alexa Geddes and Sarah and Jimmy Lynch, Castle Douglas

“We recently booked a self-catering holiday in a cottage near Loch Duich on Scotland’s west coast. The literature said that the cottage was occasionally visited by pine martens, so we were hopeful but not exactly expectant. One evening, we put a slice of bread and peanut butter on the patio and settled down with a cup of tea. Almost immedialety, I glimpsed something through the window - it was a marten. He stayed for 30 minutes. The next day we put out the bait again. Sure enough, he turned up at the same time on that and every night of our holiday. We felt privileged to have been visited by this wonderful animal - it was a truly memorable holiday.” - Alan Bell
